Nascut in Bucuresti, Mihai Ritivoiu incepe studiul pianului la varsta de 6 ani. Absolva cursurile Universitatii de Muzica din Bucuresti, clasa profesorului Viniciu Moroianu, in 2012. In prezent, Mihai Ritivoiu studiaza in Londra, la Guildhall School of Music & Drama (clasa profesorului Joan Havill) si se bucura de burse de studiu din partea Fundatiei Ratiu, a Leverhulme Trust, Liliana and Peter Ilica Foundation for the Endowment of Arts si a Fundatiei Culturale Erbiceanu.
Tanarul pianist e laureat al Concursului International „George Enescu” (2011), castigator al Concursului „Dinu Lipatti” (Bucuresti, 2010) si, cel mai recent, castigatorul al medaliei de aur la concursul international „Beethoven Piano Society of Europe Intercollegiate Competition”. Participa (ca solist, sau membru al unui ansamblu de camera) la recitaluri si concerte in Romania, Franta, Anglia, Portugalia, Elvetia si Italia, in sali ca cea a Ateneului Roman, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Barbican Centre. Inregistreaza Concertul nr. 2, de Rachmaninov, cu Orchestra Nationala Radio, sub bagheta dirijorului Gheorghe Costin, iar concertele lui sunt difuzate de Radio Romania Muzical, Radio Suisse Romande – Espace 2.
In decursul timpului, pianistul Mihai Ritivoiu are parte de indrumarea lui Valentin Gheorghiu si participa la cursuri de maiestrie cu Dimitri Bashkirov, Dominique Merlet, Richard Goode si Emmanuel Ax.

Mihai Ritivoiu was born in Bucharest, Romania, and studied in his hometown at the National Univesity of Music and at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, where he is currently completing his Artist Diploma Degree with Senior Professor Joan Havill. Mihai Ritivoiu is a prizewinner in several national and international competitions, including the George Enescu International Competition in Bucharest. Mihai Ritivoiu has performed throughout England, Switzerland, Portugal and Romania. Mihai Ritivoiu’s studies at the Guildhall School are supported by the Noswad Charity.
